Live & Online Auction

This auction will begin at 11 AM Central with some rack wagons of tools, which are not available for online bidding. At noon, we will begin selling the cataloged portion of the auction with Jim's pedal tractor collection, followed by the farm equipment. For online bidders, the pre-bidding will switch over to simulcast bidding, in which you will be able to bid live against in-person bidders, or leave a "max-bid". 

This will be a shorter auction that we anticipate will be over by early afternoon.

If you are bidding remotely and are successful at today's auction, please make payment and pickup arrangements by calling Kent Curless: 217-242-3550 as soon as possible. 

Equipment pickup will be Saturday during & post-auction, and Sunday until noon. If you cannot pickup during those times, please call to make arrangements.

Due the death of Jim Landrum we will be selling this quality lineup of farm machinery, construction equipment, farm tools and pedal tractor collection at the Shelby County Fairgrounds located ½ mile north of the intersection of U.S. Hwy 15 and 36 Shelbina Mo.

Online Buyers' Premium: 5% capped at $1,000.  *Calculated per item. *Onsite purchases incur no buyer fees.

 

Shipping
Auction company is not responsible for shipping items. Buyers will be responsible for arranging any/all shipping and pick-up.

 

Loadout
No items may be removed until paid in full. Loadout to take place on auction day.

Items are to be removed from auction site by Sunday, March 1, 2026. Please contact auction company for special arrangements. 

Titles

If applicable, original title will be sent to purchasers once checks have cleared, two weeks post auction.

 

Buying at the Auction

When you bid on any item, you are entering into a binding commitment to purchase. Upon declaration “sold” by the Auctioneer, or online bidding system, the successful high Bidder assumes sole liability and responsibility of the item from discrepancies, damage, theft or loss. Online Buyers will be sent an email invoice following the auction. All purchases must be paid in full at the conclusion of the auction and prior to removal of purchases from the auction site. The final online purchase total charged will equal the sum of the high bids plus calculated Buyer's Premium and credit card fee if applicable.

Registered Bidders agree to the terms and conditions of the auction. Curless Auction has put forth every effort in preparing the information for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items. Potential Bidders are solely responsible to fully inspect and research items, provenance, serial numbers, condition, hours, age and any other related information to their full satisfaction prior to bidding on and buying any property offered in this Auction, and not rely upon any representation or description of condition by the Seller or Curless Auction. Seller or Curless Auction will not be held responsible for any discrepancies, damage or loss of Buyer’s property commencing at the point of sale. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. By participating in this auction, bidding and making an offer to purchase any item(s) offered in this auction, Bidder acknowledges their acceptance of every characteristic, the current condition and the location of the subject item(s). Bidder agrees that everything is sold as is, where is, ALL SALES ARE FINAL and that they may not return any item they purchase for any reason. Curless Auction is providing Internet bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Curless Auction or anyone else if the Internet, phone or computer service fails to work correctly before or during the auction. Curless Auction will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Bidders are encouraged to use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid before the auction begins. Sellers and Curless Auction reserve the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction. Bidder agrees to be bound by all the Terms and Conditions of Sale as listed. By participating in the auction and bidding on any item or items Bidder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Curless Auction from any loss, damage, error and/or omission that occurs during the auction or at any time as it pertains to the bidding and buying process.

Auction day announcements supersede all previous information.
